“I don’t need a holiday or a feast to feel grateful for my children, the sun, the moon, the roof over my head, music, and laughter, but I like to take this time to take the path of thanks less traveled.” -Paula Poundstone
This last week has been miraculous. And it hasn’t been because my book came out this week.
No, for the past week or so I have been hanging out with my sister and her family in Kansas for the Thanksgiving holiday. I can’t remember the last time I have allowed myself to take this long of a break! I’m also realizing that I needed to take this long of a break. It’s been wonderful getting to hang out with my niece and nephew, and rediscover the bond that I have with my sister. These are things that can only happen when I make the time for them, and they are things that are incredibly precious to me.
When I return home, I want to spend this sort of time with my own family, too.
So for the rest of this year, I’m giving myself permission to take a break from my blog. I’m giving myself permission to spend time with the people I love. May the rest of this holiday season find you doing the same! (Especially if you’re a fellow entrepreneur!)
And as we approach 2015, I cannot wait to see what you draw forth!
