As this year comes to a close, and I think about each and every person I’ve had the privilege and pleasure to connect with (and draw with!) these last twelve months, I am left holding this thought in my mind and heart:
The sum of a person’s worth is not in the pictures she draws, but in the possibilities she draws forth in herself and others.
In other words, it’s not about what you draw. It’s about how you show up.
This New Year, I wish for you:
But most of all, I wish for you to show up this year like you never have before.
I wish for you to discover all the amazing parts of yourself, and to embrace them. Make friends with them. Yes, even the inner critics and the imperfect parts.
I wish for you to fall completely and utterly in love with who you are and what you are capable of, because you are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for.
I wish for you to stop pretending to be something or someone else, and simply shine as YOU in this universe.
The way you show up is the way everyone else gets to show up around you.
And when we fully show up in this world and life, great things get to happen.
So if you want to make this new year the best one yet, SHOW UP for it.
Not with half, or part, but with the WHOLE of yourself.
Show up and shine bright. Others will show up and shine bright with you.
And when we all show up and shine bright, wonderful things become possible.
Walt Disney used to say, “if you can dream it, you can do it”.
This new year, allow yourself to dream. Bigger than you ever thought possible.
Allow yourself to show up and put your positive ding in the universe.
Allow others to show up more and do the same.
Help us all make more dreams come true.
I cannot wait to see what you draw forth.
Happy New Year, Jeannel!
Happy New Year, Kari! :^)
