I was recently interviewed by Hera Hub founder, Felena Hanson, about the release of my newest book, “Draw Forth: How to Host Your Own Visual Conversations Without Having to Be a Professional Artist or a Full-On Facilitator.”
After having been up to my eyeballs in book edits, it was a welcome break to share a bit about what prompted my writing this book in the first place, as well as sharing a bit of the journey I want my book to take you on as you read and draw your way to becoming an awesome visual conversationalist!
Watch the video to learn more, and tell me what you think in the comments below!
As always, I cannot wait to see what you draw forth!
Interview! I want to do interview with you for my Polish readers!
It would be a pleasure, Piotr! :^)
Greetings Jeannel –
It is exciting to see you sharing the 2nd ‘wee one’ that you have ‘drawn forth’ ! I found it especially helpful hearing about the parallels between developing the visual language and learning verbal language. I also like the joint emphasis of the development of the visual language and the easing people into the ‘engaging or creating’ the conversation. I am putting your book on my list for Santa this Christmas! ( Re-visiting ‘Back of the Napkin’ at the moment , and working through ‘The Doodle Revolution’ ( working on my sketch-notes each week ), and am looking forward to ‘drawing’ 😉 on the wisdom your book brings to the trade. Best wishes. Phil
Congrats, Jeannel! Your last statement is most powerful! How to get others to get their brains around a complex problem and get to the solution, or you have a solution and you need to get others to SEE themselves in your solution. And folks out there, Chapt. 5, Using Visual Language With Others, provides tools and practice pages for those Conversation Shapers.
Thanks, Melynda, for your kind words! :^)
