I adore evergreen trees. When I lived up in the Puget Sound area of Washington state, I was surrounded by a forest of evergreens and it felt like Christmas all year long. Then I moved down to San Diego. In November. And I went from this lush, verdant, evergreen environment to one that was brown, dry, and dusty. (I honestly feared that I’d have to assemble a Christmas tree out of tumbleweeds!) While San Diego has certainly proved to be a vibrant and colorful place – and one I’m grateful to call home – I do miss those evergreen trees!
